The procedure for project evaluation and management of national activity NMR spectrometers for external users in High Fields (750 MHz or more) of five TGIR platforms is fully automated and managed using an intranet interface : https://www.tgir-rmn.org/form/

This interface allows quick and easy evaluation of the projects.

Details on the different stages of the circuit :
  • A) This step plays a role switching: choice by the local correspondent (LC) 2 external experts to evaluate the project. It also serves to filter the projects submitted by checking the feasibility of the study in terms of NMR available on the requested platform equipment. She eventually allows a project directly eliminate insufficiently documented. The options are for the LC are: a) project accepted (sent for review), b) redirected to another platform TGIR project, c) refused project.

  • B) To be accepted, a project must be validated by an external expert ("IEP" or "external investigator") and the coordinator of the host platform (IP). Two external experts are routinely asked to evaluate a project. When one of the two experts say, the second expert is automatically informed that his opinion is not required for this project. Note: a refusal (from the PI or expert) overrides a positive opinion: a notice of refusal issued interrupts the evaluation chain and leads to the immediate rejection of the project. (Note: A project can be refused re-submitted if necessary, after taking into account the comments of the evaluators.)

  • C) The local correspondent must finalize the process by creating (one click) (s) account (s) intranet users of the platform. It is responsible for transmitting users their personal connection to the intranet TGIR. These accounts allow you to collect (securely) a number of information accessible to local correspondent, including information necessary for the preparation of the missions of users (date of birth, SS number, bank details, etc ...).
  • D) The local correspondent information about the date (s) year (s) experiments and dates (s) visit (s) of users. It has already identified the different spectrometers available for its platform (once and for all at the beginning of the activity, to update in case of arrival of new equipment).
